Circo De Mente is a company founded by Andrea Pelaez and Leonardo Costantini, since their beginning they are joined by Maximiliano Torandell and nowadays work in an interdisciplinary way with Priscilla Solorzano, Diane Eden, Luca resoldi, Ihutl Conde, Renata Wimer, Gina Paris, Daniel Quezadas, Javier Moreno and other artists such as: Marcelo Gaete, Anita Bebon, Jean Pierre Marbach, Edgar Zuniga, Miguel Molina, etc.
They have combined a workshop of social circus, with two workshop of the art of circus and a laboratory of circus. Nowadays, they organize workshops of circus art with street artists of Mexico and foreign countries.
They have brought about three Circus Variety Shows, and were integrated in the program of the most important Mexican contemporary circus companies as well as Musicians, visual artists, dancers, actors and poets. They have presentations in numerous festivals and circus conventions through out Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and Spain.
They have received two educational scholarships from Arte CONACULTA/CENART and one supporting grant from Artes por Todas Partes awarded by Secretary of Culture of District Federal. They had show in conjunction with Canadian Company Les Set Doigt de la Main, in the inaugural performance in the city of Guadalajara as well as the premier concert of Aerial Scene in the National Center of Arts.
They participated in celebration of Spring Night at Zocalo, from the Capital City organized by the Cultural Secretary of the District Federal. They presented Primer Study of the Passion to the music of San Mateo de J.S. Bach , in the Zocalo, third Circus Variety Show and primer meeting of youth circus in the Circus Atayde Hermanos.
They presented a special revue in the inauguration of exposition of the cubist art of Diego Rivera in the Museum of the Modern Art.
They Participated in the International Iberoamerican Film Festival in Guadalajara, as well as independent record labels in the Museum Diego Rivera Anahuacalli.
They appeared in TV show La noche sin fin broadcasted on Channel 11.
They had presentations at various spaces such as: El Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso, el Espacio Escultorico, el Poliforum Cultural Siquieros, Museo Casa de la Bola, Casa del Lago, Foro Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz del Centro Cultural Universitario among others.
Nowadays, they are training daily in the Museo Diego Rivera Anhuaacalli. In
the tent Modutetro which is borrow from the Centro Universitario de Teatro
with the help of UNAM, where also they conduct workshops and courses in the
contemporary art of circus.
They are also grant-holder of FONCA for The Fibonacci Project, a co-production with The 7 Fingers, and for the Interpretations of the arts of Circus of the FONCA 2004-2005
